Sawdust Math provides estimates for woodworking planning. Results are based on published typical values and standard engineering formulas, but wood is a natural material and your stock, tools, and conditions vary. The calculators are provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind.

Safety

Nothing on this site overrides your machine’s manual, your material supplier’s specifications, or local building codes. For structural or load-bearing applications, consult a qualified professional. Where a tool touches safety (for example, lathe speeds), treat our output as a starting point, not a permission slip.
